Interesting shot. It works well in black and white. I think it would have been improved by framing slightly to the left so the main subject wasn't quite so central and the guy in the white top wasn't quite so in the corner. Maybe cropping some off the bottom and right would help? Well spotted though and great capture.
 
You may be right, unfortunately the top LH corner is the corner of the frame and I really wanted to include the end of the broken surfboard so there isn’t a lot of flexibility in the crop.

There is if you crop outside the ratio. just crop off the bottom about an inch and crop closer to the surfboard. This would improve it. Id probably crop into the surfboard as the main point of the image seems to be the man at the top looking at the other man. Its a well seen shot though so good job.
