Believe it or not, this was shot through the side of the fishtank!
I just like the detail on the leaves and the colours of it on the dark background!

That must have been a very clean fishtank. I like this shot a liot. Did you use a polarising filter on this?
 
Actually its filthy!!
No filters or anything, I think I took it on a 20d and 18-55 a while back but its a lovely result imho!

It was very much an off the cuff shot but turned out quite striking
 
Not a bad shot. Looks a little out of focus. Like the contrast of the dark background.
Is it a golden apple snail?
 
I'll have a closer look at it but I may have used a wider aperture and not quite picked up the snail with the focus!
Or it could just be the water ;-) That's my excuse and I am sticking with it!
I am afraid I have absolutely no idea on the snail breed!
 
Pretty sure it's a golden apple snail....had a mess around taking shots of fish etc but the beggars don't keep still....might try a snail.
