Thought I was seeing noise in some shots but I think it is rain!

Interesting how you can see the difference to shots with big lenses where the subject is well isolated by the large aperture and focal length. The background being too clear is probably the only negative point in these.

I really like these. I'm not the biggest fan of the game, but these shots really caprure the passion and enthusiasm at base level away from the silly money and prima donna tantrums.

A longer lens would have been nice to isolate the action, but these are great all the same.

Actually at this location I doubt it would be much use, the pitch is about 1/4 size and the 70-200 was too long some of the time

I'll have to go back this weekend and see if I can find a better place to shoot from with the 1.4x bolted on. It was my first attempt at shooting football and quite a learning experience.

No bum fetish, but the coach leaning over like that was a shot I couldn't pass up on!
