Sunrise on the East Coast

Well done on being in place at sunrise, I would say the 1st is the best image of the set.

I think it has the better colours and the edge of the surf breaking adds to it.

Thanks, I think that was my favourite too, which is why I put it first, It's one of the first ones I used the manual setting for. I only have the one lens at the moment - 20-50mm but am planning to get a couple more.

They all show beautiful seas and sunrises, and all but number 2 show sloping horizons :)
The constant central placement of the horizon and the sun doesn't work for me.
The colours though, and the light on the water, is lovely.

Think a reverse ND Grad filter would help with the over exposure of the sun. I would prefer more going on in the picture as well, but as it appears you are new to the hobby I understand trying things out.

Thanks all, yeah these are my first ones, thanks for the advice unfortunately, there was much else going on as we have a large bay.

#'s 1 & 4 would be my pick. I think these sort of shots mostly work best 50/50 split but if you are going to use symmetry, you need to get your horizons straight. :)
