Sunset over the hill

Here is my first sunset taken using an ND8 filter and my new tripod over the hill next to the track at Santa Pod.

To be honest this is not really doing all that much for me, it's massivly under exposed :shrug: I don't think that you needed the ND8 for this photo :shrug:

Contrary to the above, I really like this. It is massivly underexposed but it makes quite a simple image with the sillouette of the group of people. Nice.

There's definitely something in there that appeals to me. Not sure if a portrait crop so that the silhouetted area fills the frame would work better as the image gets lost a bit in the black space. On my screen I can see a hard edge down the left side of the glow? is that a building perhaps? I do agree on the underexposure though - not by much but a wee bit more would help for sure.

More pluses than negatives - all in I like it.

Perhaps a much tighter crop would improve this, removing all the darkest areas around the side? I like the shot and the concept but think you needed to be closer in.
