I'm not sure the scratches do anything but I understand what you were after.

The prop blur needs to be a little more, something like:

Ok that was a real one so an easier shot/edit.

How about recreating the airfix box type images with it?

Not sure about the long scratches either, looks like someone has been doodling with the tip of a knife, the grain works though.

One thing I might change is the leading edges of the plane where they are white - might been painting over ?

I think its a fair try ken, again don't think the scratches add anything to the subject. maybe bring down the saturation a little.

I too collect this modela and have a decent collection, i have done similar in the past, but may well have another go..

As said it works but needs a little refinement, I think that I'd loose the distress layer completely so take out all of the scratches etc but the noise works though maybe make the grain a little finer
