Surf Pic's from Rip Curl Boardmasters Newquay 2007

Mark,

Cheers for the link, quick question. Are you elevated somehow? Looking at the quality, levitating , just wondering as you seem to be able to pick the wave the surfers on. When I've shot surf I tend to loose the surfers board/feet due to the waves infront of them or was it that flat ha ha.

Simply stunning! These are great action shots - you've managed to capture the moment(s) perfectly

Where were you stood in relation to the surfers?

Boggy nice to see you here.

I was stood on the beach in the water up to my waist at times but mainly up to my knees, when the sea was at high tide I was stood about 12 - 18 inchs above sea level, on the sloping beach but still at the waters edge, that didnt last long though, when the tide truned it was back into the sea again.

Dont forget with the camera on a tripod and a Gimbal head the centre of the lens is approx 4 -5 feet above sea level.

Photos were taken on Fistral Beach, Newquay, Cornwall.
