Yes
Went for a walk in the park yesterday.

Managed to get the attention of a swan, but didn't do too well on capturing it on digital.

Better (hardly processed) pictures on flickr, but here are a few of the ok ones.

Apart from moving back, are there any other things I could do?

Most of these are probably the 105mm macro as the hoya 135mm didn't cope too well. Weird glow/mist in the middle of the shots...

same as above...

Number 2 may have been ok.. shame you cut the tip of his beak off ... I quite like the pose could have worked nice if exposure was ok.

Keep trying.. (y)

I agree with Roy about the composition and exposure on these. I also cannot help wondering if the better shots are on Flickr, as you suggest in this and the other thread, then why not post them up here?

Because here I can get tips on next times attempts...

If the better ones are the best, then I'd lose all these as cr@p.

Drops my ratio of ok pics from 20/153 to around 6... and I am trying to keep flickr as the better shots and not the almost shots... Photobucket gets those

Missed the focus... AF got it just ahead of the head...
