Hi, First snaps with a DSLR. I am wanting to take it up as a hobby. Thought I would put a few picks of my first effort up. Havent got a clue what settings I should have it on so I was just having a play with different settings tbh.

The pics feel a bit flat, maybe needed to put camera on a different setting or they need editing. But not sure which. These were all handheld aswel. I need to invest in a tripod. Didnt fancy carrying one all the way up there though.

#3 is my fav, gives you a real sense of the scale
 
The first two are probably suffering from shake or too slow a shutter but some of the others are nice.

#3 does give the view of huge space very well.
 
Shutter speed is something I didnt change so I will need to look into experimenting with that.

Its all about learning anyway :)
