Yes
Not being capable of original thought  I decided to try out this HDR/Tone Mapping lark to see if I can get a different look on a fairly ordinary shot of the Lairig Ghru I took yesterday.

This is the result

Even though it is a blend of three exposures even the least exposed could not render any detail in the sky in the middle of the picture which ultimately kills it. I still enjoyed the process though. :)

Thanks that man for inspiring me to try something different.

Have you tried adjusting the white clipping?

Yeah I have reworked image and slackened off the white clippings much more. At first it gave me that horrible grey that I hate in HDR images but after a while in PS I managed to get more balance and have retained the cloud detail.

What do you think?

EDIT - removed #2 so link broken - sorry!

Foreground is better in the first, sky is better in the second.
Blend the two :)

Rather liking the tufts of orange grass stuff!

Hoodi - I was thinking the same but tired after last night's celebrations (hic!). May try tomorrow.

Yes the grass is a cracking colour at this time of year from yellow through orange to brown so not grossly oversaturated.

OK that's it. I must sleeep!

Version #3 as per Hoodi's advice.

nighty night!
