Cuz you are a nice chap“ABSOLUTELY BAFFLED”
I’m absolutely baffled as to the way “Flickr Explore” works. For ages I’d had nothing selected for Explore and then all of a sudden I’ve had Five snaps including todays selected in less than two weeks. Yes of coarse I’m pleased but still baffled as to how or why.
George.
I took the X-H1 on a hike in the Peak District this week and there was some lovely hazy light up on the edge. I've more to process from sunset, but here's a wide shot half an hour or so before, taken with the Samyang 12mm.

Thanks. I was on my way up to the more often photographed rock formations on the edge, but the fence leading down the hill caught my attention.Very nice Chris, lovely viewpoint and light.
The lenses themselves are really well made, nice materials. Id go as far to say the build is better than a lot of expensive 1st party stuff Ive used. Hood, nicest made hood and mechanism Ive ever used.Nice. Think it can replace your 35mm art?

AF is fast, Im surprised how fast it is. Need to check CAF with moving stuff but SAF is very fast.
Will it replace the 35 ART? Hmmm, Ive not used it enough to know yet. Will have to wait and see.
The mounting on the xpro3 does concern me though. How do we know it won’t be a problem on future cameras and then all of a sudden in a few years time the lenses are only compatible with older cameras?
I know it’s only cosmetic, but poor Dave’s experience on here recently shows how difficult shifting ‘damaged’ gear can be.
Fantastic work Paul
Hats off to Viltrox for stepping up and providing some alternatives to the pricey 1st party stuff. I'd have not problem using the 23 and 33,but would probably still go with the 90mm over 85
Very nice, beautiful Kitty
How's the hood on your 85? I seen people moan about theirs being loose or too tight and not 'snapping' on properly - I've had no such issues with mine. Fits like any hood for any other lens really, clicks into place and stays put, both standard and reversed.
I've not used the 90mm so can't personally compare, but some reviewers reckoned the Viltrox 85 had the better build and post FW update, was just as fast AF-wise. There's a mkII version of it that's about 150g lighter too. I mean, I'd probably choose the 90 too, but I'm not going to find it anywhere for £168 delivered to Ireland so I'm not gonna complain either way If it's even just very close to this was a right bargain.
That's a crazy price. Definitely a good way into fuji. Get some more portrait shots up with it!
I've just looked on Amazon and they are silly prices. £300 for the 23mm f1.4. That's less than the price of a used Fuji unit.

I'm on the lookout for wide and tele converters for the X100 series. Dont mind mk 1 or 2 but would prefer black. Is anyone thinking of moving theirs on?

Well worth the visitDodged the rain and thunderstorms at home last night and went to Moels, a new location for me (after the obligatory seaside fish and chips!)

Don't know if it's gone to everyone but this is a code for 60% off fuji capture one single user license, no monthly plan fee. Comes to about £51

Think it works for the other brands too.
Holy moly. Thanks for this, been holding off till my trial expires but have jumped on this.
Confirmed that it works.
I’ve recently bought the 23mm but as yet been unable to get out and play with it. Viltrox have knocked it out of the park with their Fuji lens, a no brainier for the likes of me on a tight budget.
You'll find that once you've trialled/paid for it they'll keep emailing codes for you to buy it.Holy moly. Thanks for this, been holding off till my trial expires but have jumped on this.
