The Milk Parlour

Some shots from a [small] local farmers milking parlour. These were taken a few weeks ago.
I went up there (tis up on a big hill!) with a view to taking similar shots with more bovine action - but they had all been & gone by the time I got there. Ho hum.

See, farmer's DO have to get up early in the morning.... ;)

Nice rich contrasts.... cattle would add to it imho...

They go up twice a day. Once at some silly time in the wee hours, and again about... Now! Infact if I look out my window I can see em' marching up the hill!

Yes, definitely going to have to go back up there and try to get some shots with cattle. I'm quite tempted to do it in the rain, although I might not be so hot on that idea when I'm only half way there and am soaked! :LOL:
 
Love the shots, how do you achieve your skies?
 
Ta! Skies were fairly dramatic already, but I boosted that some by pasting them as second layers and boosting the midtone contrast with levels. It's quicker and easier to do in Capture NX - but my trial has run out, so back to capture 4.4 for me for now :(
 
excellent stuff, i like the grain store thingy, thats a good shot
