Always had a soft spot for them, probably me favourite truck, I always wanted to drive one growing up.
Sadly, by the time I past me class 1 in 1987, there weren't many left in general haulage.

I was on the engineering team for a major supermarket company. I was involved in the distribution side of the business.I had to Google the F89 Jak, don't recall ever seeing one but as you say, looks identical to the F88.
I was driving for a bout 10yrs, part-time for the last 3, before a career change took me in a different direction, I still miss it sometimes.
I only remember driving 2 Volvos, an FL10, odd feeling with such a low cab and a brand new FH12, a demonstrator and on hire, the latter was the dogs bo**ocks
