The Opening of a Thistle

OK there's more than one thistle involved but you get the idea. I did think about creating a triptych but I prefer them as a series of individual shots. Any thoughts?

The second one is most successful here. I like the idea of a triptych but think it would need to be the same plant and exhibit a degree of uniformity to work. This would be a good subject to choose though.
