It makes my eyes go fuzzy, very difficult to focus on but I like the feel of it the way the gates lead into the tree - and then you spot the cat.

I have to agree with Kerioak, it takes a minute for my eyes to adjust but I do like feel of the image.

Well I think this is brilliant at first I was looking for a beast in the tree, i.e. a hidden image as the top does look like a couple of dark eyes then I spotted the cat

I like it but I think I would prefer the image without the cat

Could you horizontally flip the tree/background then put the cat back on that?

The tree is primarily illuminated from the left, and the cat from the right, and I think it makes the final image look a bit odd.

Also, maybe just a little bit of blurred shading on a layer under the paws where they contact the ground, as the fallen tree trunk's shadow is darker than the cats, and I think it would give the cat a more "solid" appearance.
