These birds are going to be the death of me, spent the morning chasing them around the Lyth Valley - they are so damned nervous though, swooping away just as they are in shooting distance, I was more succesful nearer the village as the were soaring fairly near - still big crops though and a broken 100-400L for my troubles :(

i tried last week to get some buzzard shots but just couldnt get close enough

a couple of weeks before i only had a 50mm on and was upwind of 1 perched on a tree. as i approached he moved a couple of trees further away and then dissappeared into the woods. Carried on with the dog walk and 1/2 hour later he was back on the same perch
