I am aware you see these shots on the web often, so it's nothing new.
To be honest I didn't set out to take this particular image.
After I took the 3 glasses image I posted a while back It got me to thinking how I could maybe take some more images along the black and white theme and including glasses.
For some reason this chequer board pattern came to mind.
So I set about trying to cut the pattern out of some black card. " Nightmare" took ages and I'm not that good with the knife so it's not perfect, by any stretch of the imagination.
After cutting this out I thought I would just use the one glass but I weren't that keen so just played around until I ended up with this.
I would love to have been able to have this pattern cut out in a better fashion but I have no idea on how to achieve that.
It would be great to get some crit/feedback on the photo.
