Powerful portrait but I think it is unfair to post without some kind of explanation of her injuries. This could become a very emotional thread otherwise!
 
Not sure about this - if it's about the good and the bad then it works as the two sides of her face are complete opposites; if it's meant to be a gloomy portrait of a girl being beaten up then it doesn't work as it is overall too light and the right side of her face is too pretty. Hope that helps.
 
Sorry for the lack of explanation but it is makeup - no children were harmed in the making of this image!

It was just a quick shot of my daughter during a break in filming her school project. It wasn't posed and I think the reason it stood out to me was the two sides of the face and the expression.

For some reason I am distracted by the watch though.
