Really need to get a speedlight so I can shoot higher shutter speeds...for now though, this is the sharpest I am getting without faffing around with a tripod.

C&C welcome as always!

Great shots!
Last one is my fav!
Planning a macro lens myself

Nice set although they do seem a little high in contrast/ saturation, could just be my monitor though!

No3 is best by a mile -

OMG if that's hand held without a flash I must be doing something wrong!! What lens are you using for these?

This are all shot with the most least expensive kit ever! ...I admit, I'm a bum :)

Shot using:

Nikon 50mm AF-d with 2 step extension rings. Lighting: 1x hotshoe mounted flashgun (jessops!) with a piece of cardboard (cut from a cereal box) to direct the light down to the lens. It's a tough job because it's all manual and you have about 4 stops less light through the viewfinder when shooting at f11...but at the settings I shot below, it was quite ok!

Nikon D90, 1/200th - F11, 200ISO.

I had 2 nikon SB900's but unfortunately had to sell them...I really want one now so I can shoot faster shutter speeds. I rekon I could get 1/2000th 200iso with one...(and my homemade contraption of course!)
