Tokina Fisheye shaving

maybe I know it: take a look at the price and the condition.

If we damage the lens we pay the money back.
In addition, you get the money for a new lens.

Anybodywith access to a lathe could do this as long as they were incredibly careful
 
With registered mail:

2-5 days from England to Germany
1-2 days for the shave
2-5 days from Germany to England

=

max. 2 weeks

Last lens from England:

Shipped to Germany at 28.02
I received it at 04.03
Shipped back to England 05.03
delivered at 09.03
=
9 days

After finding this thread a couple of weeks ago I took the plunge and sent my new Tokina lens off to Germany for Tobias to shave. I sent it by Royal Mail on Monday 21/03/11 the cost was about £15. Three days later Tobias sent me an email to say he had received the lens and would perform the shaving that day.

Tobias then sent me an email to say that he had posted it back to me and I would receive it within 3 days. Today 29/03/11 I recieved the lens back. Very pleased with the service offered and the price, I had a quote to get it done in England that was about £20 more expensive than sending the lens to Germany.

Thank you to Tobias, now I'm going to be able to make virtual tours! (y)
