Any tips on editing cross exposure? Im really struggling with it...like you said, they just kinda look like faded layers

what software are you using?

imho, if you are going to do this you pick one that will be a normal photo that will be the focus of the image. the other two should be visible and you should be able to make out the features.

Nice idea, it's just a case of playing around until you get it just right

put each image in a separate layer, and play with the opacity slider on each layer to get the transparency you are looking for

I'm in the minority here but I like it - it has a bit of a retro feel to it
