As this is the 'animals & nature' section i thought i would post all 3 here.

1. Tulips taken from my mums vase in the lounge, shot with an SB800 and a fast shutter speed. Boosted the shadows, brightness and contrast in RAW.

2. Alfie my cat (Lilac Berman) wondered up a tree, and got a wee bit stuck. Instead of helping him down i got out my 70-300mm VR and snapped away just wished it was a better day.

3. This was taken at Marwell Zoo, last summer. It was shot through glass with A priority with my 70-300VR

not seeing any photos...

How about now? Have uploaded them to the gallery and used the link there?

Not really doing anything for me paul.
Take one of the Tulips out the vase. (best looking one) and shoot it against a contrasting background.
As for the cat, you should be getting better results than that m8 with the lens you have, think you just need to practice a little more with it.
Third one is pretty decent. Never easy shooting through glass.

The tulips are too blown out for me, the cat looks nice but the wire is too distracting, the third is ok but would be better if they were looking directly at you.
