Walk On Water...

My first chance out & about sampling a Crimbo pressie - second hand Nikon 35mm f/2 , it was a thrice nippy at -17°C (-20°C today), It's definitely going in my top ten list of strange things, having ice form in ones beard.
Anyway, here's a few shots taken before a little grocery shopping.







This spot is just around the corner from our apartment, Tokionranta is a small harbour/bay in Central Helsinki and the folk in the frames are walking on the frozen sea

Indeed mate, I'm still adjusting to how early the sunsets can be here in winter, 15:00 in the afternoon in these shots.

As for the cold, it really isn't too bad, it's very refreshing if you have good warm clothing and if you keep the trips outdoors nice and short

You can't beat can you mate! It's a great time of year, I was planning to go out today and catch the sunset a little earlier but were completely over cast

Everything looks totally 18% grey
