Westonbert arboratumn

It's a really good place to go and can be truly beautiful in autumn, there are various 'walks' which take in different types of shrubs and trees - more autumn information HERE

Reminds me that I must make a visit again this year.

Beautiful location. Well worth a visit. Colours should be lovely this time of year.

Lovely place, but gets very, very busy! Go during the week if you can, as Saturdays and Sundays are a nightmare, not only for traffic queues and parking, but you can't ever take a decent photo without some one walking into it.

Its too late for the acers at WB

Consider Stourhead if you are in the Nat Trust. I went there last friday and it was lovely and quiet. Its also one of the featured locations in outdoor photographer magazine. I prefer it to WB as theres more than just trees to photograph

Im off to Batsford this weekend.

WB is where BBC is filming Autumn Watch so its going to packed there.

Agree with greenoak, mid October best time to go for colour. Dont expect to be alone, overflow carparks are full this time of year.

Stourhead which is about 30 miles from westonburt was awesome 2 weeks back.
