What battery for 1d mark 2 ?

Hello,

Could anyone reccomend me a good replacement battery for a 1d mark 2

I have tried a few off ebay but their locking mechanism isn't good as a result, they don't make proper contact. This switches the camera off

Any ideas which ones are the better ones?

Do you actually know if theirs fit properly? Because all are marketed as compatible

I have 2 from 7day for the 2n and they fit pretty well. I would recommend them, think they were only about £14 each.

They should be fine. I had two I used with my 1Dmk2 and am using one in my 1Dmk3 and have had no trouble with any of them.

My 1D batteries do not last a day. I decided to go for some eBay ones and had the same problem.

The get around this, unscrew the end cap from the original and new battery and swap em over. Solved the issue for me.

I have 6 of the 7 day shop compatibles and have used them with a 1Ds, 1Ds2 and 1D2 and all have worked flawlessly.

Hi,

The 7dayshop ones do infact work properly. I've noticed that the two tabs in the camera body onto which the battery clips might be slightly bent.

Could someone post a photo of those steel bits in the battery compartment?
