What sort of long distance lens?

Hello TP

A friend of mine has just asked me about a Nikon lens up to 300mm not a fixed lens but something like a 70 - 300. As im only a canon person i have no idea.

Roughly willing to spend £150 - £200 at a push

Please advise

For the money, you can't do better than the Sigma 70-300 APO Macro Its really rather nice. For a bit more money the Nikkor 70-300 VR is well respected.

Have a look in the forum section buy and sell below on the main listing. Ebay. Jessops / warehouseexpress.

Better if they could find some one who has one and borrow it for a short while. day or two. See whether it does what they need.
