I met Ian dury once after an old lady in the hospital bed opposite my girl friend beckoned me over saying young man young man come over here!
So i went over and she said very proudly.
'I'm Ian Dury's mother'
'Your not!" I said flabbergasted
"I am" she said grinning at me.
'And he'll be in in half an hour if you want to meet him"
'Nooo' I said still flabbergasted
'oh yes' she said still grinning.

Shook his hand and stuff when he arrived, he asked about my girl friend who was unconscious at the time, but funnily, mostly i remember his proud and so very cheerful mother.

Blast from the past, I saw them in 97 and can't remember one bit of the gig, in fact if I hadn't checked my old tickets I'd have forgot about the gig , must be my age :) time to get them old discs out again and have a listen.
