Hi

A freind has a Canon 400D and wants to get the Tamron 17-50 after seeing images with my D90 and the 17-50 non VC. As I use Nikon I do not know which one would work with the Canon.

So, should I tell him to get the:

Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 XR Di ll LD Aspherical (IF) Lens
or
Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 XR Di II VC

Of the Sigma 18-50 F2.8 ones?

As always looking for the cheapest option with the best details....:)

Thank you

Kev

Generally the non VC version of the 17-50 is thought to have better image quality. Either would work with his camera though. Non VC is also cheaper

Mike,

Thank you. I have the non vc one and am very happy with my one especially compared to my Nikon 18-70 that I had.
