White-throated Dipper (Cinclus cinclus)

I spent about 5 hours along the waters edge waiting for this shot. At the moment because I shoot with a 70-200mm and 1.7 teleconverter I tend to photograph more environmental shots or include a lot of the animals habitat within the frame. I plan to invest in a lens with a bigger focal length but for now I have to work with what I have, so field craft is key. Any thoughts?

I think you have done a great job Matthew, and well done on the fieldcraft a great thing to be working on, I like the shot showing the enviroment and if you want the shots you have to be prepared to wait which is what you did, so well done.

Always some pain to get such a good shot. Like the surrounding environment captured as it really adds to the photograph. Great work.

Nice work esp. given your restricted focal length.
It's a minor gripe, but I'd be tempted to lose that tiny stick off to the left.
