Hi everyone, I am looking to buying the nikon 12-24mm f4 g af -s dx if -ed wide angle lens for my nikon d80 , Question please, will this lens fit the d80? my thanks in advance, regards,(lofty2)
 
Specialman, my thanks for your advice,one thing bugs me ,what is the difference between non-full-frame body and full frame , and if the D80 is half frame what will the landscape images be like with this camera having the 12-24mm on? sorry me being a newbie to wide angle i don't know these things.
 
As the 12-24 is a DX lens, it is designed specifically for crop sensor frames, therefore you dont need to worry about the image looking different to how it does in the viewfinder (apart from the D80 only covering 95% of the image IIRC). I would love one myself but they are a bit pricey.

The D80 has a focus motor anyway so AFS or AF doesn't actually matter but what you said is right anyway, yes, it will auto focus!
