Wil these old lenses fit a Canon 550d

Ok, I'm a complete newbie!

My neighbour has an old APS Canon Camera (don't know the model), and has the following lenses:

1, Canon Zoom EF 35-70mm 1:3.5-4.5.
2, Canon EF 85mm1:1.8, Purchased January 1998
3, Canon EF 50mm 1:1.8, Purchased January 1998

Does anyone know is they are suitable to fit to my 550d?

I don't want to try and then mess up my camera or his lens!

The EOS 550D is compatible with Canon’s full range of EF and EF-S so yes they should work with your camera.

I would think that 1998 will not be considered to be very old when refering to lenses. The Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 was first released in 1987 and is now probably the most sort after affordable prime lens.

I have a Mk1 50mm f1.8. Had it from new when I bought my old EOS 620, I still use it regularly and it gives great results. It's better built than the current version.
