Will a Raynox 250 work on a Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II LD Asp. (IF) Lens to givw Micro/Macro photos...?

I have those bits of kit but always use my raynox on my 70-200 F4L
If you can wait until later I can test and see what I get with the Tamron combo.

iirc the raynox will fit any lens that has between 52mm & 67mm filter size. I used my raynox on my 18-70mm kit lens, my sigma 105 2.8 and my 75-300mm and produced some EXCELLENT SHOTS

does nt work....
severe vignetting...

however when I added my kenko 1.4 TC all was well and actually gave good results.

will upload some samples when I get time this week to aid the thread for future.

Aye, the Raynox lenses only give decent magnification at longer focal lengths. They are pretty useless for wildlife / insect shots as you'll have a focal distance of a few cm's at best, not ideal, coupled with a DOF of a few mm. For tripod based macro work they are great and provide awesome results at around 200mm +.
