2nd go at taking tennis shots. Last time it was men's tennis, this time the ladies.
Was a bit of cloudy and wet day so lighting wasn't great. Most pics are jpg's from a D700 on Vivid setting.
Any feedback welcome :)

I like the ones where you have managed to get the ball in the shot. Not a bad set for your 2nd go and the images are really sharp but I would have liked to have seen some more action shots with the player as the main subject and the background clutter out of focus.
Just out of interest, we're these on one of the outside courts?

Thanks for the feedback ProG77. (y)
Yep. Outside court (number 12).
topahtter and I were lucky enough to get front row seats (a bit behind press togs).
I've just taken what I think were my best shots on the day. More action shots can be found in my full set here:

Most of these were taken at f/2.8 or f/3.2 with a 70-200mm vr1 lens.
ISO was around 320, and shutter speed around 1/1000.

What options could I have used to get better bokeh or decluttering of the background?

Hi Ant,
Each person is allowed 1 bag each. Bag size must be within 40cm x 30xm x 30cm IIRC.
They all get x-ray'ed as well.
Wimbledon is great.. much better than the O2 ATP finals that confiscated my gear two years ago when I went to watch Federer v Murray.
Join us next year :)
Would be funny to see a whole row of TP'ers just behind the press :D

Yep, they're very forgiving about kit at the AELTC.

Got tickets for the ladies' final this year, but sat a fair way back. The earlier parts of the tournament are great for walking about and getting really close to the action.

Went yesterday with my Nikon 70-300 attached to my gripped D200 and security didn't bat an eyelid. Will post some pics soon but highlight of the day was catching Federer practising on an outside court!! Safe to say, I clicked away :)
