My daughter was due to ride her pony Freddie with her partner on captain sirus. Weather was poor with drizle and poor light, and in the practice ring, Freddie (tempremental describes him well!) he refused 3 times on the lowest jump but no matter, they went for it and here are some pics, no cropping or pp at all as I am still learning , today I found focusing was a bit hit and miss and I am thinking manual focus might be best for the jumps.......
D90 / 70 - 300vr, auto ISO (160 - 640) 500th min shutter speed, mainly lens wide open
some candids before:
First jump - pleased with this one both horses fitted into a full frame, and nice and sharp.....
and the final jump:
In the end they got a clear round (23 jumps in total) and finished 8th overall, well pleased!
