Hi Stuart, thanks for sharing these. Pose, sharpness, composition, background all top drawer and something to aspire to.
Two questions. To my eye, all three look a little "dull", that is to say, they do not pop or have vibrance. Does that reflect a personal preference? Were these taken with the 30D and 400 f/5.6?

Cracking shots, especially the singing wren. Creeper's a bit dark, but that's pretty normal for where they're usually seen.

I have noticed I tend to go alittle on the darker side with my editing and this is something I may need to look at. All the shots were taken with the 30D and canon 400mm 5.6

Edited version added, tried to bring the shadows down a little and the highlights up. There always seem darker on the net than when I am editing them in PS?
