could you have downed the high end a bit to bring out the low end?
on my screen it seems a bit thin
is this from a non digital camera?

Hi

It was a very bright day and on my monitor it looks perfect

I used a Canon 40D and Canon 24-105mm f4L Lens. Silver Efex Pro is my product of choice where B&W is concerned. This was slightly further tweeked in Lightroom 3.3.

Looks to be a well used workhorse
Might have preferred a tad more contrast myself
