I have an sb700 with my d7K and a set of 622N transceivers and 622ntx controller which are working well..

1) I would like to buy a second flash so I borrowed a friends yn565ex (he is a Canon shooter). Whilst experimenting last night, I couldn't get the YN flash to remotely adjust power or zoom like my sb700 would - is this because it is a Canon version? I had it selected to ettl and the trigger was correctly set. It was firing when triggered, but that was it?

2) a friend at camera club who does water drop pictures. She has been taking about timing issues with her yn and sb900 flash using the cheaper YN triggers (603?). Can anyone shed light on this (poor pun)?

Cheers

Mike

answer to 1 is yes the yn will not adjust different pin positions on bottom. may fire as a manual flash due to single pin in middle. You can fire it via wireless system.
can only comment on the shutter speed on the water drops or she maybe firing early/late need to see photos may help.
