Both lovely shots and I only wish I was that good.

Can you explain to me though what process you used to photograph the second one on 27th October 2011?

Hi Richard, sorry for the delay in replying, I was out at Blackpool for the closing show of the fireworks competition.

The sunset shot I used a 3 stop reverse grad from Hitech, composed the shot, took a reading off the foreground with a handheld spot meter, then checked the sky wasn't too bright, exposed for the foreground and put the grad in.
