Young Athletes League Round 2

Had a short trip out to Warrington for the Young Athletes League meeting.
The conditions were very poor for both running and photography, very heavy rain and really poor light.

Young lad trying hard in the pouring rain.

He did fall in the water up to his neck on the next lap, which I caught on camera but feeling a little kind tonight so not showing that shot.

Maybe not the best image, but she sure has the high jump technique off to a tee, in fact she waited until the very end before taking her first jump and it was clear right away she was going to be the winner. Moved the bar up in 10cm then 5cm amounts to get a new PB.

#3 is very nice. great jumping style too. great detail in #1 but has it lost some quality around the edges when down sizing it for web?

3 cracking shots that would grace any athletics magazine,i especially like no 1 with the effort the lad is putting in despite the rain really showing
