Really want to get down there one of the days.
What and where are the good spots, especially if I drive down?
Parking seems to be an issue I believe around the area?
You also need something like the PFixer software which works as the interface between the midi controller and Lightroom.
I've just purchased one of the Arturia controllers so we'll see how it goes!
I was looking at this earlier on Petapixel and thought it seemed a good idea but the comments there also mentioned PFixer.
Had a look at that and there are a number of midi devices tht it will support, some are a lot cheaper, especially used.
The Arturia Beatstep was one controller and that can...
Thank you, again!
It gives me a few things to look at and potentially experiment with.
Bit difficult to show the specific examples as they are in the book and presumably posting any here would breach copyright?
I really like his flower work, and obviously less controversial than his other...
My achilles heal, again!
I photograph a lot of flowers and was looking at some photos in Robert Mapplethorpes Flora book.
A lot of his photos seem to use very focused 'spot' type lighting, but also seems quite soft/diffuse.
How would this effect be achieved?
I've tried an anglepoise type lamp...
Amazing shots, although not sure I would want to get that close to a wild Viper!
That leaf insect is amazing, to realize that something grows like that purely for camouflage.
There are some that look like brown dried leaves as well I think?
Really good set, and not normally a subject I would view!
The last one is good, the expressions on both the dogs - do I get any of this?!
Doesn't really bother me this type of hunt as at least (presumably) the game is used for meals etc?
Just not keen on fox hunting.
I had a similar decision when I bought my E-M5mk2 last month and ended buying a slightly used body and a new grip, so the overal cost was mo more than typical new retail for the body only. I felt the E-M1 was potentially getting a bit old and also quite bulky, whereas with the added grip I can...
Yes, I use DXO Optics Pro, as well as Lightroom.
Overall, I find the standard RAW editing features do give a better image than Lightroom.
It seems to be vapable of pulling more fine detail from the RAW file but I guess some people may not like the 'look'.
However, it has none of the cataloging...
I've just bought E-M5 mk2 so having fun with the focus stacking options.
One thing I have found of course is the sheer number of images you soon end up with.
Just wondering what others do with the originals?
Once you have stacked them and got an image are they really worth keeping?
I am...
Might be worth having a look at the New Inspiron 15 Gaming.
Just ordered one for a user at work and they seem to be very good spec for the money.
Re the XPS machines.
They are nice and auper thin and light.
My own work machine is an XPS13 and I really like it, BUT, the ultra high res panel can...
Thanks for thr Youtube links. I shall spend some time watching them. Spent all weekend fiddling :)
Really loving the focus stacking option though, even if it does require a middle conversion to DNG first for Helicon.
I take lots of flower photos so really suits this.
One thing I found with this...
Woohoo.
Finally get to post in this thread :D
Got my bonus at work so splashed out and upgraded my E-PL7.
It's not new but hardly has a mark. Bought from MPB and their service was good so hopefully won't regret it!
Already had the lens, but bought the additional grip(s) as an addon.
A lot of...
thanks :)
I will have a better attempt at using flash again too.
Part of my issue is probably the flash I use is not on camera so the output has to be set manually - a left over from my swap from Canon to Olympus M43
I do have Sekonic light meter that can measure a given output and show the...
