    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Damn :( sorry to hear. I know it doesn't solve the issue with lifting and using the camera but due to my disabilities I end up using things like a trolley to pull my camera gear along (in its bag) so I'm not carrying it. I have a black rapid on despite it annoying me at times, so if I do drop...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Soo I got my 400mm f4.5 with a 2x TC. Damn it is so nice. I haven't edited the photos yet, not sure even if I got any I'd like to keep as the weather was crap and nothing was around. But the lens just feels so much better.. Its so weird having a quiet autofocus. Hopefully, I can get out again...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Thanks, both. I'm thinking lighter weight is probably best as I struggle to carry my gear already x-x I can't switch cards as I haven't got any others. I have 2 x 150GB cards, the 2nd is supposed to be the backup. It's not enough. I have filled that every single time I've been out except for...

I also ordered a 2nd battery as I did have it go almost flat me. 150GB isn't enough space for wildlife so I'll need new cards soon as well. Having to chimp delete photos in the field is far from ideal..

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

I got my Z9, been using it a bit but; I need a new ultrawide, my tokian is DX only and I completely forgot about this lol. I'm ordering the 400mm f4.5 soon so a lot of my lens budget is being eaten up by that. I'm stuck between the Z 17-28mm and 14-30mm. I can't justify the 14-24 right now, if...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Thanks both, I had considered an Anker Powercore for the PD but thinking Its probably better to upgrade my powerstation/get an extra one. There are now some with PD, whereas when I got my current one there wasn't much choice :p A solar power charger is also a good idea. Cameras due to arrive...

Those with the 400m f4.5, what did you do re the tripod collar?

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

True, I have seen most 3rd parties besides 3-4 brands have issues already. So yeah probably just worth the extra £60 for the OG one. I'll need more in the long run but for now 2 should be okay. I sometimes am away from mains power for weeks, and while I do take portable power stations...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

If they announce the 200-600 I'd get it as well but I don't wanna wait more than a week or two after getting the Z9 before I get a decent telephoto. I'm trying to figure out batteries - whether I get the OEM one or get either ProMaster for £119.99...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Thanks both, Most of my F mount stuff is old so it's probably time to upgrade some of it anyway. I mainly grabbed the adapter as it was only £100 extra for my 24-70 and 70-200.

Sooo, I did a thing.. I finally gave in and ordered the Z9 form Panamoz with the adapter so I can use my F lenses. I still need to order CF cards, a 2nd battery and I also want a new telephoto lens. I have the 70-200mm f2.8E FL ED VR lens so I won't bother with the Z version just yet. But my...

    Beginner Faster shutter speed needed?

You'll have a much easier time steadying the camera if you use the viewfinder. It's easier to hold still when the camera is closer to your body. If you want to get off auto, just try swapping to the priority modes at first. For birds, swap to shutter priority(S), then you'll be able to just...

    Cranes/Chicks

I was there as well yesterday. Some nice photos. I didn't see the baby cranes =( but the moorhen babies kept following me, much to the annoyance of their mother's who kept chasing after me squawking.
