You can use W3W in Navmii (freemium GPS navigation) and it works well esp. when a postcode isn't specific enough. A friend who is a police officer has recommended it - as others have said - in three words you can direct the emergency services to a very specific location. Much easier than GPS...

I'd recommend the 14-42 EZ for minimum size and weight. I've had mine years and it's been fine (cross fingers) There's also a Panasonic 12-32 pancake which is supposed to be an unrated lens for similar money. I also have the Olympus 14-42 II R - £70 will get you...

Olympus TG-6 for rock pools and beach photography

You might want to ask in the Olympus thread - there's at least one TG-6 owner in there.

DP connected monitor and speakers/soundbar choices?

FWIW my HDMI connected monitor both installed itself and set HDMI as the Windows 10 primary audio source, muting my speakers connected through the 3.5mm socket on the motherboard. I just switched them back by clicking on the taskbar speaker icon. I don't think you can have both enabled. I would...

    Norwich Peregrine killed-collision.

Norwich International Airport is a bit more than an airfield these days ;) Several scheduled connections to Schiphol as well as domestic and charter jet flights. You can clearly see the mothballed planes from the A140 on streetview so I think that the earth bank has gone...

    Norwich Peregrine killed-collision.

Sad but 4 chicks is impressive. Iirc they lost one in a previous year that flew into the spire. I guess learning to fly is tricky

Just seen a link to this Olympus interview over at e-group. A disappointment to me personally but I understand the reasoning. In other news I also...

Great video - I've only messed with noise reduction and sharpening without really understanding what I'm doing. This person really explains it quickly and simply so now I think I might revisit some night scenes and see if I can improve them. Thanks for the link!

As the black fox suggests - I have Lightroom 6.14 (the last perpetual licence) and my Import process includes letting Lightroom process on AUTO. It gives me a good starting point, it usually seems to add +1 EV which is more than I think they need. It's also fond of dropping contrast more than I...

    Power saws

FWIW - I bought an earlier version of that Erbauer mitre saw for about £100 about 10 yrs back. It's a decent tool and good value for money, I've never had to get any spares for it and that would be the only worry - brushes etc. I was finishing a massive renovation, I'd run out of money so it...

    Olympus OM-D E-M5, E-M1, E-M10 & Mark 2 Owners Thread

Hi Roxanne, I'm an E-M10ii user. I have very rarely used the Continuous AF with or without Tracking. I don't shoot planes or birds but do a little bit of motorsports. In that circumstance I found that the camera wasn't very good at isolating the subject - I suspect the shape of the car changes...

It's not the end of the world - under silent mode I just off have Off or a submenu to choose a delay time. I'd always fancied the PEN-F but it's hard to justify over the M10ii - (ironically) one thing I would miss about the M10ii is the pop up flash. On the odd occasion when I'm taking a family...
