Thanks, Eddy and Co, all really helpful advice. I like the look of the 60D and know that it does come with a lot more features. I'm very slowly trying to teach myself the technical aspects (reading lots, buying heaps of magazines) and I have CS6 and Lightbox 4, again which I am learning...

I've been shooting with a Canon 400D for years. I'm now considering an upgrade and my friend shoots with a 60D. I don't want a heavier body. Could anyone steer me in some directions?
