    i am using a set of magnification filter and i am satisfied with them. Though its true that picture quality is somewhat compromised, they are good enough option for someone who is facing a dilemma of these sorts, for even less the 5 GBP.

    Chrish - I asked service center guys. But they do not provide warranty on chargers / batteries. Seems like i have to either buy a new one or get the older one repaired from some repair guy....

    I am facing the same problem. My charger (LC-E8) for Canon 550D went kaput while charging... now looking for another one and original one does not make sense due to its price? Are third party chargers available at E-bay / Amazon good and reliable?
