Beginner Purchase of a travel photography tripod - advices required

I have the 2nd one from the left. I use it usually for Milky way shots and long exposures. Works quite well but is surely not lightweight.

    Loving my film cameras

I usually carry both my digital and film camera on trips. And then find myself shooting more on film. Maybe its the novelty of the shooting technique that draws me in? I do worry about losing photos due to my old used F90x and/or the film itself. Maybe I should learn to just accept that?

Recommendations for decent walkabout lens for Nikon D90

Try having a look at the 24mm f/2.8 AF-D lens. It would be a 36mm on the D90. Very light, sharp enough and fun.

    Dust disaster

Nothing like a good wet cleaning activity. Clean twice, (with different swabs) and find your photos squeaky clean.

Scanning with TTArtisan 40mm F2.8 Macro

So the lens arrived yesterday and it seems really good for its price. I tried to scan some film yesterday with manually cutting out a holder for the film and my iPad as the light source. Turns out its not really that intuitive of a workflow. I guess I will now have to invest in a good film...
