Do you buy proper panel wipe or just make your own from IPA and distilled water?

Unfortunately those water spots are dirt so anything you spray on the car and run around will scratch the paintwork and introduce swirl marks. Unfortunately only thing to do is rinse the car and dry off again. And yes madcow ultra violet is great. I always put a quick coat on after drying the car.

I've been using Madcow ultra violet for a while now. Adds a lot of depth to a dark coloured car and a nice small amount of protection too. Also it stinks of the old Parma violet sweets too!

Won't go wrong with C4 only thing to remember is to buff it all off straight after as if it sets it dries as a white powder

Yes that's right. The pro is a higher wattage and has a power cable twice the length (a lot more useful than it sounds) think there's a few other tweaks too.

If anyone's after a 'cheap' da. Argos sell a very reasonable one for about £55. A better backing plate is needed for it then just a nice set of hex logic pads and you're good to go. Otherwise it's a das 6/pro which is by far a much better da but twice the price. I've got the microfibre das...

C2V3? I find it a very good detailer that improves the gloss and adds a reasonable level of protection but nothing like the 6 months I think it is that they claim. Some thing like colinite 845 would be my choice for a long term protection, doesn't add masses of gloss but beads for a long time.

Wax doesn't always keep the car 'cleaner' it protects the paint and makes the dirt easier to remove so washing is easier etc. Cars with no wax on can often look like then have less water on them but it often sits a more of a sheet on the paintwork whereas wax will cause the water to bead. As...

Ah I use quite a bit of C2 too so can soon top the wheels up with that occasionally. Results look good though.

C5's top of my list to try next. Seems a good idea to take the wheels off if possible and apply all over. Possibly two coats 12 hours apart too. And I've used C4 many times and really swear by the stuff lasts atleast 6 months and gives a really nice flat factory black finish.

First time watching Indy and I was impressed. A real shame for Alonso tho.
