Thanks for the reply Russy, I will try your suggestion this evening.
Although the vantage point was the 31st floor of our hotel, the windows were very high (starting about chest height and I'm fairly tall), with a bar running horizontally so balancing the camera was tricky to say the least...
I took this whilst away in Warsaw recently, unfortunately I didn't have a tripod and it was taken through a window that couldn't be opened, but I thought it was worth sharing as the sky was so colourful.
It's straight out of the camera with no PP whatsoever, feel free to comment in any way you...
The first one is a more interesting composition for me with nice diffused light through the trees, maybe a slightly lower angle could add a bit of impact?
Oh and have you thought about a B&W conversion? :p
And not just any old drain... this looks like a D400 Gully Grating to me - so named because it can withstand a 400kN test load :exit:
