Thanks for the edit. Not sure why the image is soft? My original is tack sharp around the eyes and face? Really sharp. Must be compression going on? I had the A7R lock onto the eye with perfection. I have this fascination with hands and faces combined. I hate my face so maybe I'm just hiding!

A great lens. But the crop makes it less wide on my A7Riii. I prefer a 35 for video.

‘Perfectly fine lens’ You make it sound so average as a lens! But your photos speak rather differently....

I should of mentioned cost. Yes the GM is a better lens but it also is a very expensive lens, even used.I would love one! The Zeiss just seems a tad more in my budget. Do you like the Zeiss by the way?

I have a Sigma 85mm 1.4 which is fantastic for those lush portraits. But I need an ‘everyday’ 1.4. Looking at a used Zeiss 35mm 1.4. Are they a good lens in 2021? I have researched the issues these can have with soft edges but to be honest I doubt i would notice. I just love 1.4. Not interested...

Curious. How did you get such amazing contrasting detail in the flour? Was it photographed against a black backdrop outside?

Great compositions. I like your photoshop work. Although there is some repetition in the dust where you've cloned/duplicated in the top 'swoosh' and particularly the 'wings'. Its an art to not show repetition, always a big give away. Did you add additional dust post?

Great shot and poise but what a shame about the VERY distracting and ugly radiator.

I understand that. But my main comment was to improve it for us lot on this thread. Not the client. So this is the million dollar question...do you think its an improvement?

Kodiak, i understand the brief totally. I get it. But you still could 'Artistically' improve the shot in post for us 'photographers' I find a lot of people who i photograph for would love ANYTHING i snap, even when i know its crap. Just because they love it doesn't mean its great photo. But...

Kodiak, do you think you could of made them better though? Seriously genuine question!
