Crufts is fantastic if you love dogs, but go as a dog person, not as a photographer otherwise you're likely to be disappointed!

oo, I can't wait! I collect one tomorrow, but he's not mine for life, he's a wannabee guide dog puppy. Furst golden after 11 labs. I'm useless at photos, I learn from you lot (but though I sez it meself, I'm not bad at puppy training. So far...)

Mac is telling Ellie 'I'm the boss here', by putting her paw on his neck, a very sensitive area. Mac isn't being hard, just establishing the hierarchy; and, as no doubt you know, YOU and all the other humans in your pack should be higher up than Mac. BTW, my 8 current guide dog pup, 8 months...

Hmm, bet her puppy walkers made sure she had plenty of exercise before the event so that she behaved herself there. That's what we do with ours :lol:

A like-minded soul! Except I watch movies at the (wait for it...) cinema! And I play 2-pack patience on my old iMac when dealing with tedious phone calls. I only keep it for that.

You may already know about them, but there are several springer rescue centres with dogs to adopt. If you google 'springer rescue UK' you'll come up with several options. We'll want pics, of course, of your new companion!

He's a beaut, but he's got very long nails, time for walkies on hard ground!
