    East Fortune Airshow

Hey Great shots... I struggled on sat there as had the kids with me too and well for me... family and photography dont really mix! What camera/ lens combo did you use to get so close... or are these cropped images. My 6d mkII with 70-300 L series lens just isnt really enough firepower. Defo...

    The Red Arrows - Tornado

Yes your defo right DOF shouldn't be an issue at those distances... it's more about controlling the shutter speed to keep it below the max and always think my lenses perform best about f8. The biggest issue for me is defo underexposure of the subject and overexposure of the sky.

The RAF Red Arrows - Bray Air Display 2018

Nice set... at least you seem to have got more than a 5 min display... East Fortune cut short after 5 min! Really like your second shot! Not why the red smoke is so pinkish this year though??

    The Red Arrows - Tornado

I was at East Fortune for the anual air show on Saturday. The weather was fairly grim for flying just at the time the Red's where due to start and got progressively worse only 5 min into their display. At least we seen them and they gave it a go... but safety must come first and whilst...

A few close ups bsb brands

Out of interest what focal length lens did you use? Did you crop them? I have such debate with motorsport to use my 70-300mm Canon L Series lens with my crop sensor camera... quite old 450d... but then whilst I get beter focal length I feel I loose on sensor detail and autofocus... and prob...

    Aiguille Du Midi

Both look great as is... I'd leave as is and be happy! I often think you can worry too much and get bogged down in elemental detail... whole image looks fab... job done! Try to remember how it looked to your eye I guess and go for the closest match

    Blackpool steps

I really like this shot and your work in general... Flickr followed! The perfect shutter speed... I always overdo it I think with water at times... your sense of movement here is just perfect... and below 1 second... I must learn.... 4 and 5 secs plus is too much!

    Radgale Farm

Wow Love this... the telephoto was too the right choice! It's defo much underused in favour of wide angle lenses for landscape work! I defo need to use mine more!

    Iceland 2018

I defo want to go there! These are great considering! But like you say its our challenge just to make the best of the situation we are in... working with what you have and where you are and doing your best is all anyone can do! Great images!

    Waterfalls

good first efforts... ive not done much myself but had this clan issue too... it's defo down to too long a shutter speed.

    Blackchurch Rock

The basic problem is the original light was too harsh... creates too much of a dynamic range for your camera to cope with and no mater what you do... your not getting great landscape images with such harsh light. I've pretty much given up even trying in the daylight sunshine. I never like the...
